Then in 10 to 15 minutes, whole area had been inundated with water. Look at this road, houses, shrimp cultivation field was submerged and destroyed everything here. Therefore, we the boatmen got scared of, came to the marketplace, and moved to a hotel in Bagerhat and there I stayed the night. After that, I went to the CNG road at Mongla and saw that everything was inundated. I did not get anyone there, only a journalist was there, and he took my interview regarding this disaster. Aila storm destroyed all the shrimp cultivation fields, and the drinking water in Rampal and Bagerhat. Devastating Aila took many things from us. We did not get our money from the shrimp businesspersons at all. It was an enormous loss for us. So, it was Aila storm and its severe affect.
আমি বোট নিয়ে ব্যবসা করতেছি। কিছু টাকা ঘেরে বাকি পরছিল তা উঠাতে ঘেরে গেছিলাম রামপালে। হঠাৎ করে দেখি মেঘলা মেঘলা আকাশ হয়ে আবহাওয়াডা খারাপ হইয়া গেছে। আমি এখানে রামপাল থেকে মোড়লগঞ্জ ইউনিয়ন হয়ে ডোগরতলা গ্রামে যাই আমি এখানেই থাকি। তো হঠাৎ করে দেখি যে পানি আস্তে আস্তে বাড়তেছে। আমাদের ঐ বোটে সাড়ে ৪ লাখ মাছ আসছে। মাছ বিক্রি করার ফাকে ফাকে ঘেরে মালিকে মাছ ছাড়তেছে। কিন্তু মাছ ছাড়তে না ছাড়তেই ঘের তলায় যাইতেছে। এইভাবে দেখি যে ১০-১৫ মিনিটের মধ্যে সমস্ত এলাকাডা পানিতে থৈ থৈ হয়ে গেছে। এই যে এই রোডটা দেখেন না। এই রোডটা একদম তলায় গেছে এবং ঘেড় বাড়ি একবারে সব নি:শেষ হয়ে গেছে। তারপর আমরা ভয়ের কারনে বোট নিয়া এখানে একটা বাজার আছে বাজারের কাছে চলে আসছি। বাজারের কাছে আসার পর আমরা সব বাগেরহাট হোটেলে চলে গেছি। আমি ওখানে রাতে হোটেলে অবস্থান করছি। পরে টাকা আনতে বাগেরহাট হোটেল থেকে সিএনজি রোড মংলা হইয়া মংলায় গেছি যাইয়া দেহি যে সব তলায় গেছে পানিতে। ওখানে কোনো মানুষ আর পাইলাম না একজন সাংবাদিক আসছে। সে আমার সাক্ষাৎকার নিছিল। এলাকার সব ঘের নষ্ট হইয়া গেছিল। আইলাতে এই রামপাল, বাগেরহাটে এমন বিষাক্ত পানি আসছে যে ঘেরের মাছ আর পানি এমনিতেই নষ্ট হইয়া গেছে। আইলায় এই এলাকায় অনেক ক্ষয়-ক্ষতি হইছে। এই কারনে ঘেরের মালিকরা আমাগো অনেক টাকা দিতে পারে নাই। আমাদেরো অনেক টাকা কালকশন বাকি রইয়া গেছে। তাই তাদের সাথে আমাগো অনেক ক্ষতি হইছে।
