I regularly come in Japan since 2005. From the beginning I was impressed to see the sustainable lifestyle and culture of Japan. But I was doubted about the margin between city and rural. So I was interested to see Japanese real village and rural life. Is it same as city life with a standard life and citizen rights? At last today I got change to see by the invitation of Homma San in his village house.
Before also I attempted to see the Japanese village, but could not identify properly. When I asked to my Japanese friends, I want to Japanese village, they said it is a village! I was surprised and said, why do you say it village. it just like a city of Bangladesh. They said, it is village, as here is no commercial building and have crop field. In city can never can see crop field, but have many car, busyness and busy-ness!
I am impressed to see Homma san house, it just like a Zen Garden ( mini universe ). He and his wife both don't like to eat meat ( but not fully vegetarian, found of fish). When they today understand Bangladeshi people like meat, his wife arrange quickly for me 'Chicken fry', but I was already satisfied with tobonno fish soup, dikon salada, zagaiom, rice-ball etc. The common experiences, Japanese food makes sanctification from eye to mouth, mouth to stomach. Every people become slow and humble during eating in Japan. I am impressed to heavenly food beauty and thankful motivation.
Homma san now 70 years and his wife 64 but still looks young. His testimony, young time I was a promotional officer and could not give proper time to family. But now I can give as I live in village and I have huge time. But my children grown, they shifted city…. I always try to cultivate my own vegetable by myself, however as I don't eat fast-food and meat much , I have and can save much money. Now I am relax. I love my life. Eating own grown food is very testy as it is the result of love. But I regret as I could not love as they wanted. But they may will U-Turn and will back village like me. I can not find any reason to live a busy city as we have most of things in village for good life.
I am impressed to see 2 computers in Homma san's house. Husband wife both regularly use computer and internet from village ( 40 km far from city office ) . They do blogging on their life experiences and vision for more good life and society. They connected and united with the world, living with satisfactions and happiness. As the common culture and reality of Japanese family, they also don't have housemate and driver. With own hand, they do all works includes cooking, cleaning, driving, fishing, cultivation and a part-time job without any complain, hesitation and total ownership.
