নৃত্য উৎসব: Bangladesh Nrityashilpi Sangstha (BNS) regularly celebrates ‘International Dance Day’. In the year 2008, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has joined with BNS and organized a three-day program with different activities with the motto, “Nrityer Taal-e Taal-e Bishwa Aaj Ekshathey” ( United World with the rhythm of dance ).
Promising young dancers performed their dance performance in the series of events in TSC of Dhaka university. Majority audience was young and students who want contribute in the realm of “Culture and Development”.
As Bangladeshi is a Muslim dominance country, the dance has not been well recognized. As the changing culture and changing society, along with art the acceptance and view are changing with the influence of global media and global culture. The local dance forms are also now shaping into a new modern form with the combination of western and eastern forms. A number of experimental works have been performed in the celebration.
