For today’s climate change, Bangladesh and or the climate vulnerable countries are not responsible. So the developed world has responsibilities to the Bangladesh and affected counties. We will rise the issues of responsibility in this forum. I would like to share some of our liabilities, which we have. Within our resource limitation, we have accomplished those. But the commitment of the developed countries which they have given, still they did not full-fill. We will say that story also here.

The compensation to Bangladesh like most affected counties could be given two ways; not in cash but also linked trade facilities to Bangladesh. We will propose these as well. However we hope the Global Summit on Climate Change will be accomplished in Copenhagen successfully.

আজকের যে জলবায়ূ পরিবতর্ন , সে পরিবতর্নের জন্য কিন্তু বাংলাদেশ ও ভুক্তভোগী দেশগুেলা দায়ী নয়।  দায়ী হচ্ছে মূলত উন্নত বিশ্ব । সুতরাং বাংলাদেশসহ অন্যান্য ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ দেশগুেলার প্রতি উন্নত বিশ্বের দায়িত্ব রয়েছে। আমরা সেই দায়রেসপনসিবিলিটির কথা এই সম্মেলনে তুলে ধরবো। সার্বিকভাবে কিন্তু কাইমেট চেন্জ ইসু্যকে এড্রেস কর া আমাদেরও কিছু দায়-দায়িত্ব রয়েছে কিন্তু আমরা সীমিত সামর্থ থাকা সত্বেও তা আমরা যথেষ্ট পালন করছি। কিন্তু যে দায়িত্ব উন্নত বিশ্বের পালন করার কথা ছিল, তা এখনও পর্যন্ত সেভাবে পালন করা হয়নি। আমরা এই সম্মেলনে সে’কথাও তুলে ধরবো ।

উন্নত বিশ্বের কাইমেট্যাক্যালী ভালনারেবল কান্ট্রিস গুলোকে কমপোনসেট করার যে কথা বহুদিন ধরে আলোচিত হয়েছে, তা আমর া তা এই সম্মেলনে পুন:উল্লেখ করবো। বাংলাদেশের মতো দেশগুলোকে দুভাবে কমপোসেশন দেওয়া যেতে পারে। নট ইন কেশ বাট অলসো ইনকাইন্ড ট্রেড ফেসালিটির মাধ্যমে কমপ্রোসেট করা যেতে পারে। প্রথমে আমরা, এই বিষয়ে আলোচনা করবো । আমার আশা, এই সম্মেলনে আমরা সফল পরিসমাপ্তি করতে পারবো।
