Dr. Shahriar Hossain – popularly known as Hossain Shahriar, and his organization ESDO, pioneered a nation-wide anti polythene / plastic movement. Dr. Shahriar spent 13 years campaigning and lobbying against the manufacture and use of plastic bags. His efforts and contributions have been declared as a significant millstone towards achieving environmental protection.
