GramWeb, developed by the Global Communications Center (GCC), is a web-based platform designed to digitally connect the 85,000 villages of Bangladesh with the world.

It empowers villagers at the Base of the Pyramid (BoP) to become information producers rather than just information consumers. Through GramWeb, villagers collect and share their own village information through dedicated village websites managed by Village Information Entrepreneurs (VIEs).

By creating digital identities for villages, GramWeb promotes local culture, resources, services, and opportunities while generating new income possibilities for rural communities.

GramWeb improves access to accurate information, increases transparency, and helps build a connected virtual global village where every community can share its story with the world.
