World Press Freedom Day was celebrated in Bangladesh with a series of seminars and events featuring eminent journalists, media professionals, and practitioners from across South Asia.
Held under the theme “Access to Information and the Empowerment of People,” the event brought together speakers who shared their experiences, ideas, and perspectives on the realities and challenges facing the media in their respective countries.
The events were held on 3 May 2008 at the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB), Dhaka.
